Avifloxin-10 is a veterinary antibiotic used in poultry for treating bacterial infections, especially those affecting the respiratory and digestive systems. Its active ingredient is Enrofloxacin 10%, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone.

🐓 Common Indications in Poultry:

• Colibacillosis – caused by E. coli, leading to septicemia and respiratory distress
• Salmonellosis – gastrointestinal infection from Salmonella spp.
• Mycoplasmosis – chronic respiratory disease from Mycoplasma gallisepticum
• Mixed bacterial infections – often seen in broilers and layers under stress or poor hygiene

💧 Administration:

• Typically given via drinking water
• Dosage: around 10 mg/kg body weight, or 50 mL per 1000 L of water depending on the product formulation
• Duration: 3–5 days, adjusted based on severity and vet recommendation

⚠️ Precautions:

• Not recommended for laying hens producing eggs for human consumption due to withdrawal concerns
• Observe withdrawal period for meat: usually 4–5 days
• Avoid combining with calcium-rich feed or supplements, which may reduce absorption
